Tuesday Evening Run Sessions
Every Tuesday evening come rain or snow we have a one hour effort session consisting of hills, sprints & fartleks. These are tailored to fit in with the Triathlon Season and vary in time / distance and intensity depending on upcoming races or recovery periods.
The sessions are devised by Ian, but any suggestions or ideas for workouts are welcomed. We cater for all abilities but as with any high intensity training session, you only get out of it what you put in. It’s up to you how hard you work so be prepared to get your heart rate up to reap the benefits come race season.
We meet at Forest Town Academy (see map for info) at 18:20 in the car park. We’re quite easy to spot so just come over and say hello, we don’t bite! There are no changing facilities so please come ready to run and bring something warm to put on for the way home.
There is no charge for these sessions but we do ask that if you do decide to come on a regular basis that you join the club. Membership forms are available here. Any questions, register on our Forum and ask away.

Weekend Group Runs
Most weekends a group usually gets together for a morning run either Saturday or Sunday between 9:00 & 10:00 depending on races or the weather.
These are much more informal than the Tuesday evening sessions and are organised on our Forum. The pace is slower but the distances are higher. Although we do try to do out and back runs or incorporate loops so that you can modify the run to suit your requirements. The distances vary and are always approximate as we do get lost once in a while.
We always try to go off the beaten track and avoid running on roads where possible. For this reason, we have found running from Teversal Trail Visitor Centre to be ideal (see map for info). As always we’re open to ideas and are flexible with our arrangements.
After the run we usually go in the Visitor Centre and indulge in some well earned guilt free cake and chocolate.
